These abstract paintings are made by sewing canvas onto woven wood supports and building their surfaces through stitching, layering, painting, and concealment. The visible lattice, X-shaped stitches, and shifting layers serve both formal and metaphorical purposes, suggesting how personal and social histories accumulate, recede, and re-emerge through transformation.
